OH MY! The best new girl band of 2012? Music producers have been hard at work developing a brand new girl duo- Oh My!. They ended 2011 with a support slot on The Saturdays ‘All Fired Up’ tour and with a collection of catchy pop tunes under their belt they are ready to take on the industry.
The quirky duo is Jade and Alex. With just the right amount of attitude and carefree confidence they definitely have the ‘likeability’ factor that fans look for. Chanel kicked their 2012 Spring/Summer Couture show off in some serious style last week and styled their Paris runway show in the decor of a space shuttle flight! With the spectators in the passenger seats and the model’s runway set as the isle of the space shuttle – guests where in for a real treat as the shuttle left the Earth’s atmosphere and headed for space. Toward the finale, the Earth actually passed overhead, across the clear dome that allowed passengers a view of the starry sky outside! HOW much do you wish you were there??
The key aspect to the collection was the empowerment of a new fashion attitude. Lagerfeld lowered his proportion even lower than the waist line to the top-thigh, so when models walked down the catwalk with their hands tucked into the pockets they looked like … well boys, or as the designer himself said “like boys whose jeans are slipping off.”
The androgynous look is a Chanel staple, and here at Motel we love the look too! Get that boy/girl look with our Hardy boyfriend shirt or the Laurel tartan sheer shirt. Pair it with some high waisted shorts like the Jordie denim hotpants or maybe our cult classic Jordan skinny jeans for a look Karl Lagerfeld would be proud of!
